It's great to be an Eagle!  This will be my first year teaching in the Desoto Independent School District.  I have been a classroom teacher for twelve years.  I taught English I at James Madison High School in the Dallas Independent School District for two years and spent a considerable portion of my career teaching seventh and eighth grade Language Arts at W.H. Gaston Middle School in the district.  After leaving Dallas ISD, I ventured closer to home to teach English III in the Lancaster Independent School District.  This school year, I will be apart of the English II team.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Jackson State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.  Currently, I am working to complete my principal certification program.  My hobbies consist of spending time with my family and ensuring that we spend as much quality time together as we can.

"You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."
